Small group questions

- Read James 1:14-15. What do these verses tell us about where sin comes from?
14Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
3. Read 1 Corinthians 10:13. What do these verses teach you about temptation?
13The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Moving forward
Memorizing Scripture is a great way to fight temptation. As a group, plan to memorize 1 Corinthians 10:13. Let this verse be a reminder to you each time you are tempted that there is always a way out. Next week check in with each other to see how the memorizing went.
