A trial is a difficulty that happens as a result of the fact that we live in a sinful world. Sickness, natural disasters, disease are all things we have because of what sin did to the world.
A test is a difficulty that is sent by God to develop our faith so we may be mature and persevere till the end.
A temptation is sent by Satan to destroy you.
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Each one is tempted by his own evil desire.
They blame others for their sin.
They rationalize their sin.
They compare their sin with the sin of other people.
A man's own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD.
- Desire.
- Deception.
We are dragged away and enticed.
3. Disobedience.
As a dog returns to its vomit so a fool repeats his folly.
15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
