He is a liar.

1. Hope our relationship with God

Romans 5:1-2NIV

Peace and Hope

1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[1] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[2] boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:3-4NIV

2. Hope us that God is with us.

Romans 5:5NIV

Peace and Hope

5And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Romans 5:6-8NIV

6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

3. Hope our passion for relationships

Heb. 10:23-25NIV

A Call to Persevere in Faith

23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
