You offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong?
14“Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord Almighty, “and my name is to be feared among the nations.
And because the gracious hand of my God was upon me, the king granted my requests.
"You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.
"Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace."
"Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.
