8The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
1. Surrender Our Life to Him
6And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say,
“God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.”[1]
7So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
3. Surrender Daily
A Living Sacrifice to God
1And so, dear brothers and sisters,[1] I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.[2]
