“A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t get very far until you change it.”
“A great attitude is not the result of success; success is the result of a great attitude.” Earl Nightingale
How can we have an attitude adjustment?
1. Change How We Think.
22throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
8And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
2. Change How We View Others.
3Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
5You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
3. Change Your Focus.
34Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
18Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
17And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
“Life did not guarantee any of us that we will not meet with difficulties, challenges and trials along the way. However we can be assured of God’s continued presence with us along the way for He said He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our attitude must be right and it is that positive attitude that will help us to rise again much sooner than we think.” Nick Vujicic
